Data Warehouse Developer with minimum 4 years’ experience in a data warehousing role as well as T-SQL query writing experience, relevant Tertiary IT qualification, required to design, develop, stage and implement Data Warehouse Solutions
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, Statistics, Information Systems or similar essential
- Masters Degree highly beneficial
- MCSA / MCSE certifications
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a data warehousing role essential
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in writing T-SQL queries
- MS SQL Server Data Tools, including SQL, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS required
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, stage and implement Data Warehouse Solutions
- Full life-cycle of back-end development of the business’ data warehouse
- Develop Extract Transform and Load (ETL) processes
- SSAS (cube data mining) development for database
- Performance administration
- Dimensional design of the table structures
- Ensure data brought in and manages is secure, accurate, clean, easily available and accurate
- Maintain the business’ physical and logical data models
- Provide technical assistance in the identification, evaluation and development of data warehousing systems and procedures
- Define and promote data warehouse design principles and best practice with regard to architecture and techniques
- Design and support table schemas and database for new and existing sources for the business’ data warehouse
- Create and support ETL to facilitate integration of data into the warehouse through SSIS and other technologies
- Lead data-related projects across platforms – project planning and analysis of the business’ data requirements and solutions
- Provide input to physical database development and data modelling standards
- Mentor/train Data Warehouse Team members on technical and procedural data warehousing principles
- Liaise with analytical teams to ensure all business requirement are met across business units
- Create and support analysis services – cubes, which assist in query performance
- Monitor, troubleshoot and develop solutions for data warehousing servers
- Research and promote new technologies and data warehousing tools
