We are looking for Database Administrator for a 3 month contract with option to extend. We require a resource with the following skills:
Degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Base Admin.
Practical real world experience. At least 1 year work exp in real world environment.
Desired Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
- Azure Platform Expertise:
- Deep understanding of Azure services, especially those related to databases (Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Cosmos DB, etc.)
- Proficiency in Azure Resource Manager, Azure PowerShell, and Azure CLI
- Database Administration:
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server or other relevant database technologies
- Experience in database design, implementation, and maintenance
- Expertise in SQL query optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in using Azure Monitor to monitor database performance and health
- Ability to set up alerts and notifications for critical issues
- Experience in SSIS and SSAS
- Knowledge of Azure Backup and Recovery services
- Experience in creating and managing backup and restore strategies
Scripting and Automation:
- Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell or Python for automation tasks
- Other programming experience will be good!
