Design Coordinator / Design Manager - High-Rise Residential

A well-funded, design-led residential developer is looking to appoint a Design Coordinator or Design Manager to work on a major high-rise residential scheme of 500+ units in South East London.
This is a site-based role, working closely with the delivery team on a complex, large-scale residential project. The business is seeking someone who is confident managing their own workload and can be trusted to take ownership without the need for micromanagement.
The Role
- Managing and coordinating the design process on a large high-rise residential scheme
- Taking responsibility for packages from early stages through delivery
- Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure design information is issued correctly and on time
- Identifying and resolving design issues proactively to support site progress
- Working closely with the wider project and construction team to ensure buildability and programme alignment
- Proven experience working on high-rise residential projects is essential
- Comfortable managing own projects and working independently
- Strong technical understanding and confidence coordinating multiple design packages
- Able to work in a fast-paced site environment
- Site based role - must be able to work from site full time
- Design Coordinator: Support will be provided by a Senior Design Manager, however you will be expected to step up quickly and take on increased responsibility
- Design Manager: Must be capable of running design elements independently with minimal oversight
