Diesel Mechanic - TMM

Our client is a new division within a larger group of companies involved in the reverse engineering of OEM parts. They repair and maintain equipment and parts for their affiliates locally and internationally. They are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic - TMM to join their team.

Duties And Responsibilities

Repair, service and maintain diesel machinery, diesel - hydraulics system
Maintain Safety in specified areas
Remove and replacements of major components on TMM's
Fault finding on components and RCA's on failure reporting
Introduce and maintain repair history records on components and machinery
Ensure lubrication programmes/standards are enforced
Apply guidelines, standards specifications and procedures for systems
Ensure safe and reliable workmanship
Advising defects and abnormalities to the engineering manager

Requirements

Minimum of Grade 12 Certificate
Must have completed an Apprenticeship, and be in possession of a recognized appropriate Trade Test Certificate (Section 13 and or 26)
Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic in a mechanised mining environment
Must have at least 3 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of mining industry componentry. Drill Rig and other TMMs
Hydraulic systems experience will be beneficial.
Industry knowledge of drill rigs will be beneficial.
