Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the content and social media strategy for a fashion and lifestyle client, alongside the digital strategist
  • Be the custodian of quality content on digital platforms that include a website, mailers and social media
  • Conceptualise monthly content and social media plans
  • Oversee a small team to produce top-quality articles and social media posts that are in line with the brand tone and identity
  • Brief and commission content (video, text, creative assets) to the internal content production team (copy and video/shoots)
  • Drive digital best practice web and social media
  • Work closely with respective print title editors to bring print content to life across digital relevant digital formats and channels
  • Continually explore opportunities to grow followers, traffic, reach and engagement across all digital platforms
  • Compile insightful monthly content and social media reports using Google Analytics and social media tools and apply learnings to the content strategy alongside the digital strategist
  • Work closely with the advertising team for sponsored content opportunities wherever possible and necessary
  • Liaise with the performance teams, looking for synergies and improving content performance regularly
  • Work with the Traffic Manager to ensure a smooth production process
  • Liaise with the client regarding approvals and content plans in conjunction with the print team, Traffic Manager and client service team
  • Oversee the Community Managers work
  • Stay ahead of industry standards and trends and frequently bring new ideas to the table
Minimum Requirements:
  • A degree or diploma in journalism, copy writing or a related field
  • At least 5 years experience working as a Digital Editor (or similar role) in a publishing or agency environment
  • A portfolio of written work that is representative of your writing skills
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • A deep knowledge of digital platforms and how to deliver content in the right format and with the right messaging
  • A broad general knowledge and an ability to take trending topics and distil them into conversational, relevant content for audiences
  • A love for the digital and social-media space
  • A clear, concise written and verbal communication skill
  • A working knowledge of a content management systems, Google Analytics and SEO
  • The ability to work well in a small team that includes print specialists, creatives, social media experts and performance specialists to deliver on brand objectives
  • A positive attitude, energetic approach and a high level of self-motivation
The ability to prioritise work, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
