Digital Transformation Manager
The Digital Transformation Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for strategically positioning HISP-SA as a leading provider of digital transformation and data-driven solutions in support of its overarching mission to advance health and prosperity across African nations. This role encompasses driving market positioning, enhancing brand equity, and leading sustainable revenue generation efforts. It includes identifying and pursuing commercial opportunities and facilitating strategic expansion into emerging and non-traditional markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the CEO in shaping the HISP-SA Strategy, with a focus on digital transformation, private sector growth, and multi-revenue streams, as well as position HISP-SA for growth in donor, government, and private sector markets through differentiated value propositions.
- Lead market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic shifts and partnerships.
- Develop and present compelling value propositions that sustain clients and attract new opportunities
- Drive the launch of new commercial vehicles, strategic alliances, and joint ventures to support growth
- Contribute to HISP-SAs regional positioning, collaborations, and brand alignment
- Define and implement a progressive, stakeholder-aligned brand identity across platforms and collateral
- Identify and build a sustainable business pipeline to drive financial stability and, support innovative value propositions that expand income and ensure prudent spending.
- Provide strategic leadership as part of the Senior Management Team as well as support cross-functional initiatives to establish revenue-generating products/services for digital health and other impact sectors.
- Maintain good governance of all aspects of the Digital Transformation Unit, in compliance with King IV Codes
- Identify opportunities to optimise the quality and value of users digital experiences and liaise with the Engineering and Project Implementation Units regarding their development and implementation
- Identify opportunities to support individual users health needs with digital solutions and liaise with the Engineering and Operations Units regarding their development and implementation
- A post graduate business qualification (or equivalent) is a minimum requirement
- Masters degree will be an advantage
- A Management qualification will be an advantage
- High degree of financial acumen and computer literacy
- At least 5 years management experience
- Experience related to promoting digital social impact initiatives in Africa
- A track record of leading successful opportunities, formulating consortia and an active network of partners and clients in the social impact space
- Experienced in forging strategic alliances by harmonising distinct organisational cultures and priorities across countries to co-develop proposals, execute joint ventures, or achieve unified impact goals.
