SBV seeks Distribution Controller (YES Learner) who will be responsible for monitoring the loading, transportation, and off-loading of sachet coins in fixed denomination.
Loading of specie
- Collect all required documentation; including ID, SBV laser card, Cash Movement Receipt Book, Specie run schedule and stationery
- Verify that the vehicle is properly and timeously loaded and balanced in accordance with the run/vehicle requirements
- Responsible to monitor the integrity of specie bags (no tears and properly sealed) when loading the specie vehicle
- Dual control process as per SOP to be applied when counting bags whilst they are being loaded onto vehicle.
- Responsible for locking cargo area leading to stored run cash when not in area ensuring cash is secured whilst loading of specie truck is taking place
- Transport specie using a trolley.
- Follow relevant bank SOP when entering a branch
- Correctly perform transactions in accordance with the advised values on run schedule
- Thoroughly examine the integrity of the specie bags being received Maintain dual control, in combination with the Bank officials, for branch entry and transacting.
- Obtain permission and an authorisation number from base before allowing a branch to change orders or deposits.
- Obtain permission from base on any unforeseen or unplanned event before transactions take place.
- Follow dual control process when offloading of the vehicle.
- Responsible for locking cargo area leading to stored run cash when not in area ensuring cash is secured whilst the off-loading of specie truck is being performed.
- Accurately record feedback on the completed run on run schedule
- Assist Treasury Custodian with receiving and paying out of specie
- Assist Treasury Custodian in receiving and paying out notes
- Accurately count and verify the packing and unpacking of cash/ number of bags from Specie bins in accordance with the Vault schedule per denomination.
- Feed the sachet machines with coins and weigh the sachet bags
- Follow dual control process to load specie bins.
- Assist Retail operation in daily operational tasks to maintain that operations achieve business objectives in line with departmental procedure.
- Subscribe and align to SBV Services' ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards, ensuring the departments processes and quality management system is at all times in compliance with the standard.
- Support SBVs ESG journey, reporting on and managing the ESG requirements to ensure a positive reflection and outcome.
- Drive the departments values while inspiring confidence and generating excitement, enthusiasm and commitment towards the mission.
- Act as a change management architect in periods of change to ensure business continuity.
- Manage the integration of business units into a seamless end to end solution for customers.
- Effectively communicate and embed new processes and procedures as they occur, addressing or escalating matters/ concerns to the SMEs (subject matter experts) when required.
- Facilitate the necessary presentations, workshops, or forums to ensure consistent and accurate communication is given across ones portfolio

- NOT participated in YES Previously
- Must be unemployed
- Cannot be on a current unemployed learnership
