I was very interested to read your advertisement and now send this application to offer my service. I am a female of 35 years and hold a master’s degree in Population Studies (Demography) and Postgraduate in Monitoring and Evaluation. I currently work for Pact South Africa in the Orphan and Vulnerable Children and Youth supporting the department of Social Development. I have also worked for Ipas South Africa as a Research and M&E Advisor, leading research, and M&E Unit and John Snow as M&E Manger. These positions have solidified my research, programing and monitoring and evaluation skills as I supported grantees to implement quality interventions, conducting action research, develop indicators, develop electronic reporting databases, conduct data quality audits on a monthly/quarterly basis and in conduct program evaluations. I have worked for different local and International NGOs and the experience has grown conducting qualitative and quantitative research in understanding formulation of indicators, project monitoring, donor reporting, significance of continuous effective monitoring and evaluation system and report writing.
My role as Statistician Consultant in the University of Western Cape further advanced the my data collection skills (qualitative and quantitative), writing skills, analytical skills as I was using statistical software (SPSS and SAS) in capturing and analyzing data for Masters and PhD students and also assisting them with proposal writing.
I am eager to learn, able to meet deadlines, able to work independently and in teams, I would be eager to put these skills .I believe my 10 solid years’ experience in the Research Monitoring and Evaluation field and my qualifications will assist in moving the vision of company forward.
