- Overseeing editorial processes and managing the team to ensure high-quality output
- Ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets

- Managing, planning, and reporting on costs for freelancers

- Networking with industry contacts by attending relevant functions and events
- Proven experience managing news journalists and editing publications; B2B experience is essential
- Ability to find, write, and edit lead stories for a niche sector
- Tertiary qualification in communications or journalism
- Familiarity with production processes (subbing, proofing, layout)
- Strong writing skills and creative expression in both writing and design
- Willingness to travel as needed
- A valid passport, drivers licence, and access to a personal vehicle are mandatory
