The Challenge:
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer who can provide regional technical support for a potential project in Cape Town, South Africa. This position is contingent upon award of contract.
Principle Areas Of Responsibility Are:
- Responsible for developing inspection criteria, electrical designs; performing technical reviews of electrical designs developed by architectural-engineering firms (A-E) or government organizations and resolving electrical design related problems arising during construction and inspection by the inspection team.
- Provide expertise on the electrical engineering aspects of the installation; modification; operation; and maintenance of facilities, mission systems, support systems, and power generation/distribution/grounding systems.
- While there is not a design element in this contract, the Electrical Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert to review and inspect electrical installations to ensure code compliance for new construction that is in progress or completed.
- There may be a need, from time to time, to prepare drawings, specifications, and procedures for the repair, installation, integration, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
- Prepare and/or reviews and evaluates design calculations.
