Responsibilities
Electrical Duties
- Execute daily electrical maintenance, including PM scheduling to ensure all equipment operates optimally.
- Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions.
- Ensure compliance with SANS0142 standards for all electrical work.
- Devise and implement electrical maintenance plans.
- Conduct legal inspections and maintain the SHE system.
- Maintain all electrical drawings.
- Install, align, and dismantle heavy industrial machinery and equipment.
- Inspect and maintain mechanical systems such as pumps, conveyors, bearings, and hydraulic systems.
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on mechanical breakdowns.
- Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and balance of machinery to minimize wear and tear.
- Read and interpret technical drawings.
- Comply with the Mine Health and Safety Act.
- Educational Qualification:
- Electrical qualification with a minimum of N3.
- Valid Wiremans License.
- 3 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Must be medically fit as per the Mine Health and Safety Act and company medical fitness standards.
- Strong understanding of the mining environment and its legal requirements.
- Computer literacy.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective planning and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Capability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
