A day in your life as Cloud Manager?

• Managing a team of Cloud and SysAdmin engineers
• Ongoing maintenance and improvement of the RSAWEB Cloud and related infrastructure
• Vendor management
• Planning and Prioritization of Cloud deployments
• Managing of the RSAWEB Cloud within budget parameters
• Maintain stability and uptime of the RSAWEB Cloud
• Cloud product support and ongoing development
• Security of the overall Cloud and related infrastructure
• Execution of the group Cloud strategy
• Manage R&D of new cloud products.
• Developing Cloud product roadmap.

Engineering Management

• This role requires managing a team of highly skilled engineers and providing the necessary direction to ensure operational or project success.
• Providing leadership to the team which includes day-to-day management, cultivating the company culture and ensuring the team is successful
• RSAWEB encourages internal learning and on the job training. Engineering managers are required to provide coaching and necessary guidance technical and non-technical.

Company Strategy

• Convert company strategy into an executable plan to address business requirements. Which includes maintaining of a product backlog and related roadmaps.
• Analyze the status of the market and ensure that strategy is adapted according to trends or market demand

Requirements

• Relevant diploma or degree in IT or vendor related certifications
• 5+ years experience Managing technical staff
• 5+ years experience Managing Cloud infrastructure
• Experience with VMWare and related technologies
• Experience in AWS/Azure/GCP
• Cloud Economics
• Experience and knowledge of VMWare and virtualization
• Proficiency with source-control tools (GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.)
• Familiar with monitoring systems/tools e.g. Netdata/Zabbix/Iris
• Experience leading an engineering team
• Knowledge of a wide variety of cloud solutions, standards and protocols
• Experience in working with multi-cultured employees
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to take ownership of projects and initiatives with minimal supervision
• Ability to work under pressure and is stress tolerant
• Project management experience
• Capacity planning and network optimization experience
• Valid driver license and own transport
