ENVIRONMENT:

YOUR strong leadership, expert level monday.com skills and passion & drive for excellence is sought to fill the role of an Engineering Team Lead for an Automation Advisory Specialist in Joburg to create goals and plans to ensure the successful delivery of all Engineering projects. You will prioritise tasks and work with Engineers to troubleshoot any issues while leading cross-functional teams in order to reach desired outcomes quickly and consistently. You will be expected to stay up to date on industry trends, as well as implement best practices for safety and quality control. The ideal candidate must be able to combine technical acumen with people management skills to lead teams towards success while keeping morale high throughout every step of the process. You will require a suitable Masters/BSc Degree with 10+ years' business experience including have led a team of Engineers, 3-5 years' Automation systems experience, strong monday.com skills being creative when it comes to system optimization and utilizing such tools to increase productivity within the organisation. You will also need to be proficient with C++, Python, C#, Machine Learning, have your own car and your own electricity supply for 4-6 hours.

DUTIES:
  • Set and track Engineering project goals to ensure timely completion, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the Engineering process.
  • Prioritize tasks according to goals set by leadership and organise resources accordingly.
  • Lead Cross-functional teams in order to achieve desired outcomes quickly and consistently.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and suggest new ideas for improving the process.
  • Implement best practices for safety and quality control on Engineering projects.
  • Monitor Engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met with excellence.
  • Develop strategies for better utilizing resources while meeting project milestones.
  • Assist team members with technical issues related to their assigned tasks.
  • Facilitate communication among team members, as well as between teams and other stakeholders.
  • Provide reports on projects' progress regularly to management.
  • Resolve conflicts among Engineering team members when needed.
  • Ensure that all team members have the necessary tools, materials and environment to work effectively (e g access to training materials).
  • Identify potential risks or challenges that may arise during an engineering project's lifespan, develop solutions for them before they become major issues.
  • Conduct reviews of each department's work regularly and provide feedback on areas for improvement in processes or performance.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism amongst team members by setting a good example and providing guidance if needed.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation amongst team members by encouraging idea sharing amongst them.
REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications -
  • Relevant Masters, BSc Degree.
Experience/Skills -
  • 10+ Years business experience including managing a team of Engineers.
  • 3-5 Years prior automations business experience - deep knowledge and experience in automation systems as well as an understanding of the business's goals and objectives.
  • monday.com expert skills - Creative when it comes to system optimization and utilizing tools such as monday.com in new ways that can increase productivity within the organization.
  • C++, Python, C#, Machine Learning.
  • Own Car.
  • Electricity for 4-6 hours own supply.
