Environmental Officer

This position is responsible for the development, implementation and management of the SARAO and its stakeholders Environmental policies and procedures that will ensure compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements and ISO accreditation in the Karoo.

Key Responsibilities:
* Monitoring the Integrated Environmental Management Plans
* Conducting regular site inspections to identify and address environmental concerns
* Development and implementation of EMS Procedures and Policies
* Conducting and providing environmental awareness
* Conducting environmental investigations; and
* Facilitating and coordinating of permits, record of decisions and authorisations.

Key Requirements:
Qualification:
* National Diploma in Environmental Sciences/Management
* Registration or eligibility to register with SACNASP and/ or EAPASA (advantageous)
* Three (3) years proven working experience as an environmental officer working in construction and operational environment.
* Proven and relevant exposure to environmental management and legal compliance
* Proven experience in environmental sustainability
* Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.)
* Drivers license
