My client in the construction and engineering industry is looking for an Estimator (Civil and Structural) to join their team in JHB. Must have completed degree in Civil or Structural Engineering/ Construction Management or Quantity Surveying coupled with min 6 years technical experience with proven ability to develop professional tenders in Civil and Structural projects, including underground piping. Required MS Office Suite proficiency with and CCS (Candy) experience.
You Will Be Required To
- Prepare Civil and Structural estimates as directed
- Interpreting Geotechnical Reports & identifying associated risks dependant on proposed work requirements
- Developing cost models/plans & managing bids for design and build projects
- Ability to produce Bill of Quantities in accordance with recognised methods of measurement.
- Check the overall accuracy of the materials take-off & Bill of Quantities
- Preparation of commercial adjudication of materials, equipment and subcontract quotations
