Events & Marketing / Tender Administrator Intern

A medical equipment distribution company requires a Marketing Intern for a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will need to have a general understanding of social media platforms, with experience in design & editing software. This position requires a lot of tender administration, therefore the candidate will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Events

Invitations
  • RSVPs Receiving and consolidating responses (Excel knowledge essential)
Branding Materials
  • Sending & receiving items to regions/events with the required checklists
  • Maintenance checks of promotional equipment
On-site
  • Runner assistant for: Set-up/breakdown, office, registration tasks
Venues
  • Sourcing suitable venue/s & quotes
  • Sourcing suitable suppliers for the event & quotes, i.e. catering, dcor, special meals, etc.
Arthrolab
  • Support/backup to team
  • Deliver and collect items to/from training lab as needed, i.e. attendance registers, catering stock, cleaning items etc.
  • Be present at training lab during the cleaning process and advise of stock replenishments
Administration

Tenders
  • Print tenders
  • Make dividers for tenders
  • Print supporting documentation for bids for stamping at Commissioner of Oaths
  • Copy and bind tenders
  • File tenders
  • Assist with labelling and preparing samples for tenders
Hospital Group Approvals
  • Compiling Excel pricing sheets for each hospital group for the product range being applied for, once approval is received
  • Find supporting documentation (brochures and DFUs on various principal websites) and save to folder
  • Reduce brochure sizes to 2MB size for website
P/OS, CAS & Payment Request Forms
  • Enter purchase orders onto JDE for marketing team
  • Assist with CA applications for team as required for functions
  • Prepare group payment request forms for payment
Social Media

Branding
  • Sourcing quotations for promotional items & materials
  • Sending & receiving items to regions/events with the required checklists
  • Maintenance/inventory of promotional & marketing equipment
Digital
  • Support content end-to-end life cycle & strategy
  • Support content calendar management
  • Design support
  • Database management support
  • MySurgeon support
Requirements
  • Must have a valid drivers licence and own vehicle
  • Minimum 1 year experience in digital marketing, marketing communications, public relations, events, or completing a marketing related qualification
  • Previous database or CRM experience would get preference
  • No less than intermediate experience with MS Word (outlook, Word, Excel etc.)
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills
  • General understanding or experience with design & editing software (Canva, Adobe Suite)
  • Willing to work after hours and travel to events
  • Ability to multi-task
  • A positive, can do attitude
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
