We are seeking a strategic leader to develop, implement, and oversee our group-wide reward and benefits strategy. This pivotal role ensures competitive, equitable, and compliant remuneration practices that attract, retain, and motivate talent while aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- NQF Level 7 qualification in Human Resources, Finance, or Business.
- Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) Certification and SARA/SAQA Accreditation.
- Master Reward Specialist or Chartered Reward Specialist accreditation will be an advantage.
- 1015 years HR experience, with at least 8 years in reward management at senior management level.
- Strong knowledge of remuneration principles, governance, and compliance.
- Comprehensive understanding of reward program design and administration, including job evaluation, market pricing, pay scale design, and linking pay to performance.
- In-depth knowledge of job evaluation methodologies and their application in mining and industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of King IV and JSE Listing requirements for fair, transparent remuneration and compliant governance.
- Knowledge of South African Labour Laws and tax implications related to employee compensation and retirement benefits.
- Awareness of industry benchmarks, emerging trends, and best practices for competitive salary and benefits structures.
- Advanced strategic planning, leadership, and project management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to adapt and innovate in a dynamic environment.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive reward strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Design and implement innovative remuneration structures, incentive programs, and benefits packages.
- Oversee executive and employee remuneration structures and performance-based programs.
- Provide strategic guidance to the Executive Committee and Remuneration Committee.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, tax regulations, and governance standards (King IV, JSE).
- Oversee benefits administration, including pension funds and medical aid schemes.
- Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to maintain competitiveness.
- Identify risks related to reward practices and implement mitigation controls.
- Lead and develop the remuneration and benefits team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
