Expatriate Quantity Surveyor (DRC)

Our client is seeking an accomplished Quantity Surveyor with a passion for the mining sector and a track record in large construction projects. If you have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the mining industry, registration as a professional quantity surveyor with a professional organization, and experience in supervising teams (which will be an advantage), then this opportunity is tailor-made for you.
Position: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in mining sector construction projects, professional quantity surveyor registration, team supervision experience (advantageous)
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for mining construction projects.
• Estimate project costs and create budgets for large-scale ventures.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions.
• Supervise teams and work collaboratively to achieve project goals.
• Monitor project expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and control project budgets.
• Prepare progress reports and cost reports for senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on mining sector construction projects.
• Registration as a professional quantity surveyor with a recognized organization.
• Experience in supervising teams (considered an advantage).
• Proficiency in industry-standard quantity surveying software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent in English; French proficiency is a plus.
