- Lead engineering services across terminal to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
- Manage asset integrity, maintenance programs, and capital projects aligned with Shells technical standards and Business Management System.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and Shells Performance Framework.
- Lead cross-functional teams at terminal level in delivering engineering solutions that support business goals.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Drive change management initiatives to improve operational efficiency and safety performance.
- Influence senior stakeholders by presenting data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
- Champion Shells values in safety, sustainability, and diversity across all engineering activities.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, and external consultants.
- Act as contract owner for strategic engineering services, ensuring performance and compliance.
- Collaborate with global Shell teams to share best practices and innovations.
Education
- Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, related field).
- Proficient in MS office
- Code B Drivers license
- Candidate with Engineering Council of South Africa
- Minimum 5 years in facility or terminal engineering, with leadership experience in asset management and project execution.
- Strong understanding of distribution infrastructure and reliability engineering.
- Proficient in SAP, CAPEX, and engineering design tools.
- Familiarity with Shells HSSE standards and risk management frameworks.
- Visionary thinking with the ability to align engineering goals with business strategy for respective terminals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Decisive and resilient under pressure, with a commitment to ethical leadership.
