A dynamic farm manager for a protea farm in the Helderberg area is required.
Job requirements:
- Agricultural diploma or relevant qualifications.
- 3 years experience in farm management.
- Energetic and hands-on, hard working individual.
- Somebody who can take ownership, come with new ideas and work independently and proactively.
- Strong leadership skills and able to motivate the team.
- Computer literate, strong admin skills, good in problem solving.
- Good interpersonal relationships, must be a good communicator.
- Driver's licence.
- Some weekend and after hour work will be required.
Job responsibilities:
- General management of the farm and protea farming.
- Management of staff/farm workers.
- Management of handling chemical spray and fertilizers.
- Irrigation and crop management.
- Management of nursery.
- New planting and development scheme.
- Repairs & maintenance of tractors and implements.
- Good practice documentation.
- Recording of all farming related affairs.
