Job Description
Applications are hereby invited from unemployed youth who reside in the communities adjacent to our National Parks who wish to start a career in conservation. SANParks, in partnership with Cathsseta, is offering a unique opportunity to participate in a Skills Programme in Field Guiding for a period of 6 months with a monthly stipend of R2 695.00 and a further fixed term contract of another one (1) year. SANParks is under no obligation to employ the learner upon completion of the programme.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Reside in the village/area within 1-100km from the National Park.
- Under the age of 35.
- South African Citizen.
- Grade 12.
- Clear criminal record.
- Not have benefited from other SANParks skills programmes/learnership/internship etc before.
- Physically fit.
- Learner must be willing to attend training in a site away from their hometown for a period of at least four (4) months with all expenses paid for by SANParks.
