Vacancy Financial Manager
A vacancy for this position currently exists at MiWay Head Office: Kosmosdal, reporting to the Senior Financial Manager.
What will make you successful in this role?
Result Areas
- Preparation and analysis of statutory financial statements and reports, including month end reporting.
- Manage accurate records of financial transactions, including journal entries, ledgers and reconciliations.
- General Ledger management and ensuring integrity of all accounts during month-end close.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations and company policies.
- Assist with audits, tax filings and other financial compliance requirements.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance indicators to identify trends and opportunities.
- Participate in financial planning, forecasting and budgeting activities.
- Provide support and guidance to departments on financial matters.
- Prepare and file various financial reports and disclosures as required.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, policies and regulations.
- Other ad hoc related matters
- CA (SA) preferable
- Minimum 4-5 years post qualification experience
- Proven experience in financial accounting, preferably in insurance or related financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations and financial reporting standards including an understanding of IFRS17
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
