The responsibilities of the position include:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with IFRS
- Reconcile POS transactions, merchant settlements, and clearing accounts
- Manage debtors, stock, fixed assets, and chargebacks/refunds
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash movements
- Prepare VAT reconciliations and support tax, audit, and regulatory reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
- Drive process improvements and system alignment with transactional platforms
- BCom Accounting / SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA (advantageous)
- 35 years financial accounting experience
- Experience in POS, payments, banking, fintech, or high-volume transactional environments
- Strong IFRS and VAT knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills (Power BI advantageous)
- Experience with card schemes (Visa/MasterCard) and merchant acquiring advantageous
