Key Qualifications And Experience Required For The Financial Accountant
- Bachelors degree in relevant subject matter (i.e., finance, accounting, business-related)
- Min. of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge and experience working with finance, tax and cash management as well as compliance and trade finance
- International experience / global exposure is highly preferred
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills
- Manage Debtors Reconciliation and Debtors Cycle including invoicing of clients and review of age analysis
- Liaise with creditors/suppliers as required and carry out monthly creditors/suppliers reconciliation
- Submit weekly cash flow report, which includes all bank balances and sales figures
- Reconcile the VAT figures to the ledger account and income statements
- Prepare standing journals every month i.e. interest on all loan accounts, depreciation, and revaluation journals
- Prepare management accounts and manage all expenses and income accounts
- Be involved in the creation of the annual budget, obtain information from management
