Job Description

The Financial Accountant requires the following

• Maintenance of the general ledger
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting process
• Implementing and monitoring internal controls
• VAT returns
• Income tax information and supporting schedules
• Fixed asset register maintenance (incl tax asset register)
• AFS inputs
• Approving payment
• Supervision of the external audit processes

The Successful Applicant

The Financial Accountant Function is not limited to the following

• A minimum B Com Acc with completed articles
• B Com Hons and/or CA(SA) will be advantageous
• The following specific experience will be advantageous:
• Consolidation accounting
• Income taxation calculations and tax returns
• Company secretarial duties/functions
• Group treasury functions
• Use of Power BI or similar
• Feasibility studies including discounted cash flow models
