SUMMARY:
Lead finance in the fast lane: Tough industry, big numbers, and bigger impact.
POSITION INFO:
This established transport and distribution business is looking for a strong, resilient finance leader who can hold their own in a high-pressure, rough-and-tumble environment. You will oversee a large finance team while working closely with operations to keep the business financially fit and moving forward.
Transport industry experience is essential, along with a solid understanding of CPK, fuel consumption calculations, and fleet cost management. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives where the pace is fast, the challenges are real, and the results are tangible.
Other Duties Include:
- Managing the full finance function, including cash flow, budgets, audits, and AFS
- Monitoring and analysing CPK, transport costs, and fuel efficiency
- Implementing cost control and operational efficiency strategies
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a large finance team
- Partnering with leadership to deliver accurate, actionable financial reporting
- Completed BCom Degree
- Minimum 5 years senior finance experience in the transport industry
- Strong knowledge of CPK, fuel metrics, and cost analysis
- Resilient, assertive, and able to thrive in a demanding operational environment
