The Aluminium works department requires a committed, hardworking and trustworthy individual to join the team as a Forklift Operator. The successful candidate will report directly to the Line Manager. (SHIFT POSITION)
Job Description
The Forklift Operators primary purpose is to provide support within the Aluworks division as dictated by operational requirements in the form of moving material, bags, bins and other products.
The following tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Carry out daily inspections of the Forklift and report any faults
- Do general maintenance and cleaning of the Forklift
- Move and place Aluminium products were instructed
- Load and off-load aluminium materials on and off trucks or containers
- Complete check lists and log sheets
- Maintain safe working procedures at all times
- Abide by the regulations as set out in the O.H.S.A and company policies
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- Valid Forklift license and/or certificate
- 2 5 years relevant experience
- Willingness to work overtime
- Previous experience in a physically demanding working environment would be advantageous
- Committed, hardworking and self-motivated
- Time management and organizational skills
- Display a professional work approach
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Flexible and willing to work overtime and shifts
