Front-End Lead

Track all machine related problems and ensure it is included in the maintenance schedules and executed during maintenance days.
Focus on minimizing the Downtime and Spoilage KPIs in the Technical and Production departments respectively.
Ensure improvement actions are successfully implemented.to improve the overall plant performance.
Ensure the adherence to quality procedures, parameters, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure the operates are capable and competent in the various machine settings required to produce quality cans and achieve the production volumes as planned.
Identify the technical training needs of Operators and develop a training plan for the Plant.
Participate in the respective audits to ensure adherence to processes, policies, procedures, and standards to improve plant performance.
Identify quality related problems to address and follow-up on progress.
Coaching of production and technical staff in the technical aspects of the job to improve competence and confidence.
Ensure behavior-based safety targets are achieved on a personal and plant level.
Ensure the Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and requirements are adhered to.
Participating in size conversions. Contributing to continuous improvement to size conversions.
Keeping up to date with the latest technological developments in the various Can Finishing equipment and techniques.
Ensure the availability of all resources to successfully execute maintenance activities against the plan.
Facilitate problem solving using the approved problem-solving processes and techniques to find the root causes of production and technical related problems.
Identify, initiate and drive Continuous Improvement projects on Production Equipment.
Ensure the improvement of the KPI performance of the Production and Technical Department.
Liaise with the Procurement Department to ensure the required spares, raw materials and consumables are purchased and available when required for either production or maintenance.
