General Assistant -Behavioural Centre

Purpose of position

To perform all general functions and provide support to the head of department at the Behavioural Centre.

Key Performance Areas

Daily ordering of free issues from the Kitchen.

Ensuring that stationery is ordered on Mondays and picked up from stores.

Ensure management signs off on patient manual orders.

Ensure that tea, coffee, sugar, utensils and dishes are set up for patients.

Ensuring that utensils and dishes are always washed for patients.

Set lunch for patients at lunch time.

Deliver dirty towels to laundry for washing and pick up clean towels from laundry.

Ensure that the kitchen and fridge are always clean.

Making patient files.

To provide a portering service from the ward to the behavioural centre.

Minimum Requirements

Must have minimum of grade 12

Must be bilingual.
