Mdzananda Animal Clinic based in Mandela Park, Khayelitsha seeks to employ a skilled enthusiastic full time General Manager, who has a passion for animal welfare.
Primary Responsibilities
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager will be responsible for organisational and strategic leadership and management of the organisation, through the successful coordination of a management team with 30 employees. Key accountabilities will include operational planning and programme management, financial planning and management, people management, and community relations/advocacy.
Requirements:
- Formal Management qualification preferred OR equivalent work experience with contactable references
- Proven track record in the overall management of an NPO
- Sound knowledge of the legislative requirements of running an NPO including funding, labour legislation and reports, tax and finance
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and conflict management skills
- Ability to inspire, motivate and lead a team
- Fluent in spoken and written English; an African language would be beneficial
- Computer literate and own transport
