General Manager (Mining)

Our client who is a Mining Company in Limpopo is looking to onboard a phenomenal General Manager (Mining) who has exceptional leadership, contract management, and community engagement skills.

The ideal candidate will come from a Mining and/or Engineering background.

• Relevant qualification e.g. B Eng/ Mining/ Metallurgy/ Mechanical/ similar (MBA is highly advantageous)
• Proven experience within the mining industry in a similar senior management role (e.g. GM/ Mine Manager etc.)
• Experience within Chrome and/or Platinum mining operations
• Extensive experience with contractors and stakeholder relations (DMRE, Communities, local municipalities, SAPS, etc.)
• A working knowledge of Mining right requirements and compliance
• Solid understanding of the relevant legislation including MRPDA, MH&SA, LRA, BCEA, EE, SDA etc.
• Hands on, results driven, passionate professional with solid leadership and strategic thinking skills
