We are looking for a GM: Operations Support to join our dynamic team at the Support Centre in Kuils River. This is a key leadership role supporting the Chief Executive: Operations, SBU General Managers, and Field Managers, with a broad and exciting portfolio including Property, Operational Risk, Visual Merchandising, Operations Systems, Projects, Communications, and Fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead specialist teams across seven operational support disciplines
- Translate strategy into actionable operational plans aligned with business objectives
- Partner with SBUs and cross-functional teams to embed best practices
- Lead multiple, cross-functional operations projects from concept to implementation
- Enhance cost-effectiveness and operational efficiencies
- Ensure compliance and alignment in all systems, risk, and property functions
- Champion effective visual merchandising and trend-led retail environments
- Own operations-related IT and risk strategies
- Manage high-performing teams and drive people development
- Execution of Operations Support Strategy aligned to SBU business plans
- Cost optimization and budget accountability (Capex & Opex)
- Project delivery within scope, budget, and timelines
- Effective implementation of visual merchandising programs
- Continuous improvement of retail operations methodologies
- People development: retention, succession planning, diversity goals
