Grade 4 Educator – Preparatory School
A Midrand based primary school seeks to appoint an energetic, motivated and passionate educator to join our team in January 2022. The Educator’s main responsibilities will include inter alia:
- Implementing the school’s curriculum according to the agreed standards;
- Implementing ICT in teaching methods and maintaining world-class standards;
- Attending staff training and development programs outside normal school hours;
- Administering continuous assessments to track learner progress and development;
- Implementing effective and successful classroom management strategies using varied teaching styles, differentiation, active learning principles and positive discipline methodologies.
The ideal candidate must:
- Have a relevant teaching degree;
- Be highly motivated, energetic and enthusiastic;
- Have excellent communication skills (verbal and written); (Have excellent English verbal and written communication skills)
- Be a passionate, dynamic, caring and innovative;
- Have experience in the teaching Cambridge Curriculum as well as a thorough knowledge and understanding of this Curriculum for the relevant Grade/Phase and a determined passion for personal and continuous development in pedagogical and professional competencies and ethics;
- Be committed to and possess the ability to contribute to the school’s extra-mural programme/team sports;
- Be prepared to work according to the school’s ethos, specifications and policies;
- Be available in the afternoons, evenings and at other times to attend workshops, courses, school functions and educational duties and tours;
- Be registered with SACE (the South African Council for Educators) (proof of registration required);
- Have no criminal record (police clearance required).
