Nat. Diploma: Graphic Design Workplace Experience/Internship Opportunity
A printing company situated in Rondebosch, Cape Town, is currently looking to recruit a Graphic Designer or DTP Operator, who has recently completed their studies in Graphic Design Studies at College/University, is unemployed and is seeking an opportunity for Workplace Experience/Internship (Post Qualification)
The successful candidate will be provided with an opportunity to undertake the practical design tasks associated with the printing services industry, available within a printshop.
Tasks and Responsibilities will include:
- Provision of Graphic Design work for private and commercial customers.
- Concluding the customer services throughout the design printing processes
- Designs for various types of material and fabrics
- Printing related tasks within a Printshop
Skills, Experience and Requirements:
- National Diploma: Graphic Design
- Concluded Work Integrated Learning in DTP/Graphic Design
- Good organisational, planning, administrative and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight dead-lines
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Diary Management and Internet
- Ability to function independently and under pressure
- Good level of integrity and professionalism to liaise with management and perform duties in a sensitive and confidential manner
- Well presented and professional appearance.
12 month Contract within FP&M SETA Programme; Initial Salary R4,000/mth Cost to Company, with a review based on productivity performance.
