JOB TITLE
Group Financial Manager
MAIN PURPOSE
The main purpose of this position is to efficiently and accurately oversee the financial reporting and planning of the Group. Duties and responsibilities will cover the full spectrum of finance operations, including budgeting and forecasting, preparation of management accounts, preparation of Annual Financial Statements in terms of IFRS, and managing the day-to-day financial operations of the Group.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial:
- Manage day-to-day accounting, , financial reporting
- Manage and maintain the Financial aspects of the ERP
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements and
- Continually review practices for better operational efficiency; potential account issues, financial processes and controls and proactively act and resolve issues that have been raised by financial managers.
- Provide advice on financial planning and analysis to Directors and Executives.
- Overview the monthly departmental EXCO reports as regards all financial aspects of that department
- Review and analyse financial reports and ensure that expenditure is according to approved budgets.
- Accountable for, but not limited to:
- All aspects of financial reporting: Management reports, EXCO Reports, AFS, Reporting to the HO in Brazil
- Ensure all statutory returns are submitted including but not limited to VAT, Income Tax, provisional Tax, Statistical returns
- Improve efficiencies and reduce company
- Put in place and maintain financial systems and processes
- Review monthly reports received from financial managers for reporting Oversee cash flow management
- Manage budgets and forecasts, including variances
- Present year-end accounts
- Plan and manage the year-end audit
- Review consolidated management and financial periods.
- Review reconciled foreign creditors, mark to market information, forex revaluations & goods in transit.
- Ensure that finance team keeps tax clearance certificate {Income Tax, PAYE, SOL, UIF & VAT) Local and foreign when applicable.
- Liaise with auditors for annual AUDIT Prepare AFS in terms of IFRS.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- B-Com Degree
- Articles will be an
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English language (verbal and written). Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows & Excel.
- The ability to translate financial information onto graphs and other reporting tools Knowledge of the Syspro system is absolutely essential, knowledge of other ERPs like SAP may be acceptable
- 5 to 10 years in a Financial Manager

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Office based.
- Year end is in December. (Cannot plan for December leave)
- Is subject to work beyond normal working hours, evenings, weekends and holidays should the need arise
