Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) presents an exciting opportunity for a Group Lead: Advanced Analytics, to join the Commercial team at CCBA. The role will report to the Group Head: Knowledge & Insights.
CCBA is the 8th largest Coca-Cola bottling partner in the world by revenue, and the largest on the continent. It accounts for over 40% of all Coca-Cola products sold in Africa by volume. With over 18 000 employees in Africa, CCBA services more than 735 000 customers with a host of international and local brands. CCBA operates in 14 countries, including its six key markets of South Africa, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Mozambique and Namibia, as well as Tanzania, Botswana, Zambia, the islands of Comoros and Mayotte, Eswatini, Lesotho, and Malawi.
The key purpose of this role is to build and maintain a portfolio of predictive and prescriptive models that deliver measurable business benefits such as increased sales, improved forecasting accuracy, and optimised route-to-market decisions. This includes establishing formalised modelling standards, documentation, and governance processes, supported by an operationalised Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) pipeline to ensure regular model updates and monitoring. By driving strong cross-functional engagement, the purpose is to achieve high adoption of analytical models that are fully integrated into business processes rather than used as stand-alone analyses. Furthermore, it encompasses developing a proven pipeline of innovation projects that explore cutting-edge techniques and technologies, with successful pilots transitioning into production.
