Senior Project Manager

Our client, an International Mining Company, has a contract vacancy for a Senior Level Project Manager.

Build and manage the end-to-end project plan, and monitor/report progress. Effectively manage scope and dependencies. Identify risks and issues and proactively resolve/mitigate them. Ensure that the project is delivered to time, cost and quality. Ensure that business outcomes are defined, approved, and delivered. Support strong governance, aligned with the overall governance, and ensure that timely decisions are taken.

Bachelors degree, or equivalent work experience

Five to six years of experience in Project Management activities

PRINCE II foundation certification

Communicate regularly and effectively with project stakeholders.

Support the Programme manager in the overall successful delivery of a Programme.

Coordinate and manage resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.

Lead project meetings and set expectations.

Maintain budget and forecast.

Assessing and analyzing different options for the requirements of the project.

Prepare cost estimates of IT infrastructure.

Meeting stakeholders and assessing IT infrastructure needs.

Meeting with IT solution architects and finalizing essential IT infrastructure.

Planning and supervising installation of IT infrastructure.

Travelling will be required.

Experience of management of infrastructure projects (EUC - Microsoft Windows 10 / 11, Office 365, Intune, MFA, MDM, Microsoft VPN Tunnel and ADD).

Experience of working on projects that have involved the introduction of new ways of working / processes / methodologies into a business.

Highly proficient in Project Management principles, methods, techniques and tools.

Strong supplier and people management skills.

Technical background and understanding of infrastructure underpinnings of a complex network environment.

Knowledge about aspects of information technology specifically within complex infrastructure environments.

Expert hands on knowledge of building a critical path and understanding the right questions to ask.

Analytical and observation skills.

Problem-solving abilities.

Well-developed organizational/documentation skills.

Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to review data.

Must have very good project planning and management skills and ability to develop and manage changes and implementations.

Must have strong client orientation and excellent relationship skills.
