Laboratory Analyst / Peer Reviewer

About The Role
  • To perform testing for raw materials and/or finished product and/or Stability product testing according to material specifications
  • To perform peer reviewing of analytical raw data to ensure that testing has been completed as per material specification and laboratory policies and procedures
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyses products and materials to ensure compliance to registered specifications
  • Complies with the requirements of Good Laboratory Practice and the requirements of the applicable Haleon QMS Policies
  • Complies with EHS standards and guidelines and Site EHS SOPs
  • Complies with SOPs with respect to safe use of chemicals/reagents, glassware, analytical procedures, and the use of PPE
  • Partakes in continuous improvement activities to reduce costs, increase productivity, and improve quality
  • Experience in the analysis of a broad range of product types
  • Proficiency in use of wet chemical and instrumental analytical techniques
  • Knowledge and understanding of GMP, QMS, Cape Town SOPs and Processes, and Regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of QMS requirements and application required
  • Independent thinking is required for organization and completion of responsibilities
  • Testing in pharmaceutical laboratories is preferred
Required

Qualifications and skills
  • Testing in pharmaceutical laboratories is preferred
  • Tertiary qualification in Chemistry (minimum) or equivalent
  • Experience in the analysis of a broad range of product types
  • Proficiency in use of wet chemical and instrumental analytical techniques
Preferred
  • BSc (Chemistry) of National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry
  • Testing in pharmaceutical laboratories is preferred
  • Previous Peer Review experience
  • Previous Empower Peer Review experience
  • Previous SLIMS Peer Review experience
  • Ability to test Albendazole Tablets (when required)
Other Skills/Qualifications
  • Knowledge and understanding of GMP, QMS, Cape Town SOPs and Processes, and Regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of QMS requirements and application required
