ABSA Global Markets is hiring

Global Markets is looking to hire a seasoned Quantitative Analyst to run the Global Markets Quant team. This team is long established and are instrumental in executing on our strategy to deliver cutting edge pricing and risk solutions. Our quantitative library is extensive and underpins the daily running of significant portions of the Global Markets business as well as other parts of the bank. Our growth ambitions, the evolving nature of regulations in the various Markets within which we operate and the role they play in how we manage our business provides a multi-year development pipeline for our Quant team.

The Head Global Markets Quants role will be attractive for an experienced quantitative analyst who can manage a team of quant developers and is comfortable operating in a demanding in-house development environment. The role requires someone who wishes to be part of strategic business discussions and is prepared to work internally at a senior level. 10 years plus experience working in a complex trading/global markets business is critical to the success of the role.

Education

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Physical, Mathematical, Computer and Life Sciences (Required)
