About The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to head up and grow our Alternative Distribution Channel. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of business development and relationship management within the short-term insurance industry.

Deliverables

Include, but will not be limited to
  • Identify growth opportunities across various short-term insurance products.
  • To develop new markets and generate high quality leads for all product and distribution verticals across MiWay.
  • To ensure that the newly created products achieve agreed business case targets.
  • The recruitment and management of new sales and support staff when required.
Qualifications And Experience

Minimum Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years senior managerial experience in Business Development and/or Relationship management, within short-term insurance.
  • Business Case formulation
  • New business product or business unit deployment.
  • Managing a variety of short-term insurance products.
  • Experience in strategy formulation and general business management.
Minimum Qualification Required
  • Grade 12/Standard 10/NQF 4
  • Tertiary qualification required

  • Proven business acumen and experience
  • Must be a strategic thinker who can develop and implement innovative solutions.
  • Must be analytical and able to comprehend/react to the key statistical drivers/metrics of the business unit
  • Must be self-motivated and target driven
  • Must have the ability to forge key relationships with key business partners.

Driving business unit efficiency and target achievement

Manage partnerships and communication

Strategic and Operational Call Centre control and reporting

Budgeting, expense management and audits

Turnaround time
