Head Of Product

An exciting opportunity has become available.

OneCart is looking to hire a Head of Product who will partner closely with the OneCart executive team to continuously develop and execute a winning product vision and roadmap across all of OneCarts product domains. Youll be responsible for a growing team to ensure success against agreed product-specific strategies, OKRs and targets. This role is inherently cross-functional and requires you to work closely with the Engineering, Design, Marketing, Logistics, Customer Support and Account Management teams.

As a Head of Product at OneCart, you are responsible for the complete product offering (internal and external). This entails:
  • research, innovation, and ideation,
  • collaboration with The Head of Tech Support, Head of Data, and Head of Development to launch and deploy delightful products or iterations thereof.
You need to be dedicated to the Agile methodology and believe in lean; avoid repetitive and/or unnecessary documentation. Be customer focused and do your best to validate assumptions using various types of testing, research, and analytics.

Be a creative, passionate, customer-obsessed Head of Product, ideally with a technical background, to help further recruit and lead a high-trust, high-responsibility team of product experts, and to join and help lead the journey of taking OneCart to its next levels.

Core Activities & Accountabilities
  • Lead product management for an end-to-end on-demand delivery service.
  • Lead product management for an on-demand multi-category marketplace.
  • Research, co-create and own the company-wide product vision and strategy for all product domains across the verticals and horizontals within which we operate.
  • Lead Product Managers/Owners, Product Designers, Engineers and Testers for estimations and sizing exercises, and road-mapping to enable more predictability of product delivery and cross-functional alignment.
  • Work with EXCO, Account Management and any Agile Lead/Scrum-master to prioritise solutions that assist immediate and long-term business and client objectives.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers/Owners to run effective products that deliver customer success and business outcomes.
  • Drive and refine product and customer development processes, helping your teams to test hypotheses, break down complex problems and ensure good feedback loops are in place.
  • Participate in the product and operational-tactical activity
  • Build and share empathy for our customers by understanding their wants and needs, and build a strong vision to fulfil these.
  • Translate analytics, data and user feedback into actionable product plans.
  • Be the custodian for Agile product practices across the company and find ways to upskill your associates and colleagues.
  • Oversee documentation and sign-off of business requirements.
  • Supervise testing, change management, improvement, and iteration based on key business success metrics
  • Create, own, update and communicate a master product roadmap, visible to the whole business and to our clients
  • To present the master roadmap to the Exco team

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Computer science, Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in product management, preferably in an e-commerce environment and/or SaaS environment.
  • +2 years of experience as a Head of Product and/or Senior Product Manager for high impact and scaled products.
  • Experience developing and/or contributing to corporate strategy, leading and managing projects, and working with distributed teams.
  • A self-starter leader who loves coaching and growing high-performing teams; ability to manage, guide and direct an experienced team for success.
  • A proven track record in road-mapping, estimation, sizing and prioritisation for multiple products across the organisation.
  • Experience negotiating, motivating, and collaborating with technical, design and operational teams in executing product and feature development.
  • Experience negotiating and communicating with diverse internal and external stakeholders to create good outcomes for all parties.
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal), strategic/analytical thinking, relationship building (internal and external stakeholders), and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior Agile methodology, analytical, planning, and strategy skills.
  • Familiarity with customer-centric design, user profiling, and insights development to support product strategy and design.
  • A proven track record of delivering highly ambitious products. Youll be ready to show what these are, and how you made it happen.
  • Skilled at workshopping and facilitating problem-solving, ideating, co-create and roadmap.
  • Maintain a customer-focused outlook and ensuring the voice of the internal and external customer is represented in all forums.
  • Keep ahead of industry product trends and developments.
  • Excellent at requirements elicitation and are able to lead people through various stages of ideation and innovation.
  • Able to sell the why to relevant stakeholders.
  • Have a proven success in building an execution engine that delivers value to customers in scope, in budget and on-time.
  • Able to keep a cool head, even during crunch times.
  • Able to use a data-driven approach to drive continuous improvement in all product-related functions of the business
  • Preferable tech stack knowledge:
o Collaboration tools: Jira, Confluence, LucidChart, Miro, Figma, Trello
  • Architectures: AWS and Serverles
  • Development languages : Typescript, Node.js and pm2, React, React native, Swift, Xcode, Kotlin, Java, XML, PHP
