Roles And Responsibilities

Oversee the project budgeting process which will include a yield analysis and bill of quantity assessment.
Design and cost solutions as the initial step in the proposal process.
Participate in site visits to analyse a site and provide accurate proposals.
Ensure that all high-quality leads are processed rapidly.
Create project PV layouts using Helioscope and other technologies.
Optimize each design to efficiently plan the installation and construction costs of each project.
Provide technical guidance and support to the team by reviewing deals and visiting customers to resolve technical queries.
Ensure that accurate and complete briefs are provided to the engineers on all projects. Oversee appointed EPC's in their daily tasks.
Attend commissioning verification checks on all projects and provide the required approvals and completion certificates to EPC's at the end of each project.
Assist with O&M strategies to improve current solar facilities performance.
Guide the documentation process and ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant team members.
Create opportunities to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements related to engineering and design.
Update management on project Issues and prepare various weekly and monthly progress reports.
Keep up to date with the latest products and specifications by communicating with vendors on a regular basis.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience, education and skills:

A minimum of 5 years in a similar role with at least three years at specialist or management level.
Experience in renewable energy essential.
Experience using PVSyst, Helioscope, energy toolbase, homer and autocad.
Pr Eng required
Prioritization and able to manage own time.
Excellent English communication skills - both verbal and written.
Self-starter and ambitious.
Problem solving ability.
Negotiations skills.
MS Office skills are essential.
Have extensive up to date knowledge of the business's products to be able to build rapport and become a trusted adviser.
Own transport and ability to travel.
