- Lead the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses, and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement in safety and risk management practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
- Enforce safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
- Identify potential hazards and conduct comprehensive risk assessments to implement effective preventative measures.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure readiness and preparedness.
- Prepare detailed safety reports and maintain accurate documentation of all safety activities and initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Site Team to seamlessly integrate safety into all project phases and activities.
- Conduct safety training and orientation for new employees and contractors, emphasizing best practices and fostering a strong safety culture.
- Minimum of 8 Years experience in a similar role
- Must be professionally registered with SACPCMP
- Professional certifications in Safety Management, such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or SAMTRAC, are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.
- Proficiency in safety reporting and documentation tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying hazards and determining effective preventative measures.
