Job Advert Summary
Reporting directly into the Senior Finance Manager. The primary purpose of this role is to champion and manage the adherence to IFRS technical matters and the implementation thereof. The role also includes responsibility for the Hollard Holdings Company and Group Entities (Management and Statutory) financial reporting.
Required Knowledge And Experience
Required Experience:
- A minimum of 4 years experience (post articles)
- A minimum of 2 years financial management experience
- Insurance Industry experience preferable
- In depth IFRS and International accounting standards
- A flair for accounting standards and the implementation thereof
- Exceptional business acumen and broad business knowledge
- In depth knowledge of financial accounting and related processes
- Related legislation
- Stakeholder management
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Analytical thinking skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of accounting packages, systems and controls including reporting and budgeting (Great Plains / HFM)
- Champion the technical accounting process and provided support to business units and drive implementation of technical standards in the Hollard Group
- Play a key role in the IFRS17 Implementation throughout the group
- Project Support: Key player in group financial reporting projects: IFRS 17 Implementation / Adhoc requirements
- Responsible for all internal and external financial reporting requirements of the Hollard Holdings Company and Group
- Stakeholder Support: BU internal stakeholders, actuarial stakeholders, and external audit relationships in relation to the Hollard Holdings Company and Group submissions
- Preparation of the consolidated Hollard Holdings Company and Group quarterly and annual financial statements
