Hospitality Cleaning Supervisor

Key Performance Areas

• To plan, organize lead and control resources to meet the cleaning schedule and to ensure smooth running of the department
• Ensures that all stock is monitored visually, and requisitions submitted when stock needs to be replenished.
• Completes and submits inventory order to warehouse timeously so that cleaners do not run out of cleaning materials and consumables.
• Issues weekly cleaning schedules and plans resource allocation for the week.
• Visually checks and signs off cleaners work against cleaning schedules daily; investigates omissions by following up with cleaning staff.
• Plans overtime when required.
• Manages in-house laundry schedule.
• Receives complaints and then forwards and reports MRV system.
• Reports any damaged equipment to the Technical Services Manager.
• Check and ensure by visual inspection that the correct cleaning agents are used with the correct cleaning equipment.
• Plans daily labour output to ensure tasks are completed with available labour.
• Plans cleaning of training and meeting rooms as per availability of room schedules.
• Ensure timeous provision of refreshments as per meeting room schedules.
• Manages staff performance by continual evaluation of output.
• Identifies internal training needs and plans SOP training as per skills matrix and evaluates competency.
• Identifies external training & recommends solutions.
• Investigates infractions and initiates disciplinary action as per company procedures within the timelines.
• Monitors time & attendance and takes corrective action.
• Promotes and maintains a stable employee / management relationship on site by managing and motivating staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Conducts performance appraisals bi-annually.
• Assists with staff recruitment when necessary.
• Submit leave on ESS

Qualifications & Experience

• Grade 12
• 5 Years' experience as Cleaning Supervisor

About The Employer

We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Supervisor for a client based in the Parow area. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in a cleaning supervisor role and must have Grade 12. Additional courses completed would be advantageous.
