Hospitality maintenance manager required

The Company currently represents sixty-five (65) 4 and 5 star graded, serviced apartments located within the Cape Town CBD area. We are currently recruiting for an energetic, hardworking and honest maintenance manager to join our team ITC.

Job responsibilities:

Action minor property maintenance issues within ITC portfolio
Schedule maintenance and contractors as instructed:
1.Electricians
2.Carpet cleaners
3.Plumbers
4.Other general maintenance suppliers
Conduct apartment maintenance checks as instructed
Conduct apartment inventories as instructed
Assist in errand running
Assist with guest check-ins and check-outs including after-hours, weekends and holidays (NB: Shared responsibility with 4 other ITC staff)
Assist with concierge services, airport transfers, itineraries, etc.
Pre-check-in apartment inspection to include:
Apartment cleanliness inspections
Electricity top-up (in metered apartments only)
Make sure DSTV is on
Toiletries in place
Make sure apartment has cleaning supplies
DStv troubleshooting

Job requirements:

Must have prior maintenance experience (two years minimum), preferably in the hotel industry
A committed employee willing to "go the extra mile" when required
Self-motivator with the drive and ability to think and work independently
Focused and goal oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Candidate must possess a valid driver's license and own reliable transportation (transportation cannot be a motorcycle)
Work days/hours: Tuesday - Saturday 8:30am - 5:30pm
NOTE: Every 5th week this position is required to assist with after-hours, public holidays guest check-in/check-out and on-call duties
Salary: based on experience, skills and qualifications.
Free parking is provided by the ITC.
Employee is given their birthday off, or an alternate date.
