As we continue our journey toward luxury, we are seeking an experienced Hotel Receptionist who brings strong front office expertise, a genuine passion for guest service, and proven Opera PMS experience within a large hotel environment.
This role is ideal for a confident, guest-focused hospitality professional who understands the importance of detail, professionalism, and consistency in delivering a seamless arrival and departure experience.
Key Responsibilities
Front Office & Guest Service
- Welcome guests and deliver a warm, professional first impression at all times
- Ensure smooth and efficient check-ins, check-outs, and billing procedures
- Handle guest enquiries, requests, and concerns with care and efficiency
- Maintain a high standard of service aligned with the hotel's luxury positioning
- Manage reservations, emails, telephone enquiries, and daily front office administration
- Accurately capture guest information and process transactions on Opera PMS
- Complete clear and detailed shift handovers in line with procedures
- Coordinate effectively with Housekeeping, Porters, and other departments
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3 years' hotel reception experience within a large hotel environment
- Opera PMS experience is essential
- Strong guest service background in a 4 or 5-star hotel
- Valid South African ID or valid work permit
- Computer literacy including Opera PMS and Microsoft Office
- CV must be fully updated before submission
- Warm, engaging, and professional guest service approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
- Calm, composed, and efficient under pressure
- Confident team player with a positive attitude
