This Position reports to:

HSE Manager

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

This role is contributing to the ELSE DIVISION

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Assists line managers, site managers, site supervisors and project managers in understanding obligations, liability and how to fulfill their roles, according to Local HSE law and ABB group policy, instructions and standards.
• Facilitate HSE risk assessments by line management involving shop floor employees, those directly concerned by the hazards and ensures all processes are implemented.
• Drive behavioral change through implementing Improvement programs and practices locally to ensure an exemplary H&S culture as well as a strong focus on the environment.
• Engage external customers, suppliers and other stakeholders and internal stakeholders, in order to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment on ABBs HSE efforts and performance and obtain objective feedback.

Qualifications For The Role

• Degree/Diploma in HSE Management
• You hold current certification in SACPCMP
• You are immersed in and you enjoy working with a dynamic team with different challenges on a daily basis
• Ability to demonstrate your experience in / Have established skills / advanced skills / You have 5 years of experience in HSEQ Management
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of / You are qualified in / Highly adept in HSE Systems- ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO18001
• You are passionate about / you are captivated by / you are innovative around Risk Assessments and Electrical Systems
• You are at ease communicating in English
• Drivers License
