Position Overview
Based at Johannesburg to further strengthen our local Human Resources team, we are currently seeking a:
HR ADMINISTRATOR (Johannesburg, South Africa)
Reporting directly to the HR Director, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for:
- Perform human resources function in Talent acquisition, Employee relations/engagement, Employee Personnel and HR data management and reporting. (45%)
- Assist in managing the administrative activities to ensure that all obligations of the company toward the authorities are compliant. (55%)
Recruitment
Assist Hiring Managers with the staffing requirements:
- Prepare job adverts using the job specification, and place adverts on the right portals
- Source relevant CVs from job portals,
- Do initial screening, and shortlisting of CVs
- Coordinate first level interviews with hiring managers.
- Keep a database with a pool of CVs,
- Keep internal customers updated on the progress of recruitment.
- Do necessary verifications prior to extension of employment
- Regularly update the HR Policies and Procedures as and when legislations changes
- Assist employees and managers on interpretation of Policies
- Keep policies and procedures on SharePoint updated
- Maintain local data and records accurately ( CAT on Success Factor)
- Perform administrative work as directed
- Assist the Payroll Officer with the maintenance of Personnel Files
- Collate data for HQ and statutory bodies as and when required ( Stats SA)
- Work with a multidisciplinary team on initiatives to improve morale and team spirit.
- Coordinate employee engagement surveys and assist with feedback sessions.
- Assist with preparations for CCMA cases as instructed by HR Executive & ER Specialist.
- Assist HR Executive to deal with other assigned HR related affairs.
- Execute HR projects as assigned by HR Executive
- Post Matric & Qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in the Human Resources Function
- Basic knowledge of Labour Laws (BCEA, EE, LRA)
- Human Resources Processes E.g. Recruitment, Training, Employee Relations etc
- Fluent in English, Nguni and Sotho languages
- Research and data management skills
- Good administrative skills
- Attention to detail
