Looking for a HVAC and refrigeration technician in Johannesburg.
Job responsibilities:
- Main purposes of position would be installing, servicing and repairing HVAC & Refrigeration Systems
- Installation, maintenance and repairs of ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment / systems
- Carry out correct installation procedures and correct commissioning standard operating procedures
- Project management and management of systems operations / maintenance
- Management and attention of all site call-outs, equipment failures and fault trips
- Timeously carry out planned and emergency maintenance, as per service standard, work instruction and client requirements
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding for HVAC / Refrigeration systems
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment that should be maintained
- Reassembling required equipment in order to follow repairs
- Perform warranty services and execute technical corrective actions
- Complying with all the appliance standards ensuring that all the safety procedures are followed
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety Act
- Ability to provide technical direction and on the job training
- Report recommendations for upgrading or replacement of complete installations or individual equipment, as well as scrapping of old machinery and material.
- Report client technical questions and queries.
- Provide feedback and report on quality situation and issues from field / site
- Provide support to and co-operate with sales executive for client requirements, contract development and services implementation in general
- Effectively assist in managing client issues relating to equipment faults, installations problems, service problems and technical training.
Job requirements:
- Must reside in JHB. SA citizens only. Must have valid driver’s license
- Self-starter and able to work on own, have attention to detail and time management
- Required to be on call and work flexible hours. Must be willing to travel
- Trade test
- Preferably minimum 5 years’ experience in HVAC/R (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning Refrigeration)
- Advantageous - Safe handling of refrigerants license
- Advantageous - Safety training and first aid training
- Systems operation and control working knowledge.
- Working knowledge of electrical, and experience with industrial air conditioning and refrigeration systems
- R25k negotiable – depending on experience
